Ferdinand Morano has a background in both economics and law. He graduated with an Economics degree and would eventually become a lawyer in the Philippines. He and his wife then decided to immigrate to the United States. Thereafter, he took and passed the New York State Bar Exam. Although he is a lawyer by profession, his passion lies with personal finance. Since starting his own family, he has been in charge of his household’s budget and finances. And so far, his wife and three daughters have no complaints.

While filling up his monthly spreadsheet one evening, he was inspired to think of a way to impart the knowledge that he has gained over the years. He has read numerous financial blogs and books by that time and thought that he could offer a new perspective. Thus, The Dollar Dad was born.

On its core, The Dollar Dad came into being as a way to provide sound financial advice like a caring father would. This blog strives to be less technical and more personal. The Dollar Dad believes that personal finance literacy should be accessible to everyone. And for everyone to understand, it should be delivered in a manner akin to a loved one, like a dad, giving it in simplest terms with the utmost interest of the reader in mind.
